Cafe Colucci

Café Colucci is an award winning Oakland restaurant serving authentic Ethiopian cuisine with imported spices, vegetarian and vegan options, and a full bar in a warm, welcoming space. We've been serving East African cuisine in Oakland since 1991!


When you walk into Cafe Colucci you are immediately greeted by the warm rich aromas of cooking food - the smell of Ethiopian grown, heirloom spices. Our private garden patio features a mural by Natty Rebel and tropical plants - its the perfect spot for a private event.


Cafe Colucci has been recognized with over 25 awards, including “Michelin Guide Recommended”over the years.


We only do walk-ins, no reservations

Ethiopia Skate X Café Colucci Shirt


We partnered with  Ethiopia Skate  on a fresh t-shirt design. All proceeds benefit Ethiopia Skate, a local grassroots community of skateboarders working to empower youth and promote access to skateboarding in Ethiopia.


Designed by creative director Addis Daniel, the shirts feature Café Colucci's vegan combo. Screen printed by our neighbors at Forthrite, on 100% cotton shirts from Los Angeles Apparel.

I have eaten a fair amount of Ethiopian food. I grew up in Washington DC and the Bay Area has amazing Ethiopian establishments. Cafe Colucci in its current iteration is my favorite. I am not entirely certain why their food is so delicious. My friend and I were speculating. Are the vegetables fresher? Are the spices a higher quality?
